A Pirate’s Curse (formerly The Scourge of the Soaring Phoenix)

Vampire pirates have ripped Courtney Swain’s life apart.  Her friends and crew are dead and she’s stuck on a pirate ship with the most infuriating, handsome man she’s ever met:  Captain Kane O’Brien.  To top it all off he’s also a vampire.  He swears he and his crew only turn into vampires during a full moon and leave their victims alive.  That’s hard to believe, since her previous experience proved differently.
 
Her problems double when falls down some stairs and hits her head.  Now, she has the ability to see ghosts and move objects with her mind, but the objects only move when she gets angry, usually at Kane.  He tells her a demon controls the vampire pirates who attacked her ship and the demon wants her and her father dead.  To make matters worse, Kane decides to send her packing to England with her father instead of using her powers to defeat the demon that cursed him and his crew.  Courtney wants to fight by his side and prove she’s a worthy opponent.  But try telling that to a, domineering, overbearing vampire pirate!
